First, please understand that this is a Completely Unsolicited testimony for Stewart Voutour and Slifer Smith & Frampton. We listed our 4000 sq ft. home with another agency based on location, thinking logistically it would be a better fit for showings, general info etc. etc. After just short of a year, unnecessary problems, and several failed contracts, we kept asking ourselves, "why didn't we choose SSF again?". Having several transactions with them through the years, including the purchase of this house, we immediately called SSF, spoke with another agent (not Stewart), told him what we needed, and he said- "I know who you need, it's not me, and he'll call you today or tomorrow- thanks for calling". 30 minutes later Stewart called and "the rest" is history. To definitely summarize "the rest", Stewart persistently drove traffic to our house in any way he could. He knew and told us from the start he would sell this house- and decreasing the price was not the answer. He eloquently kept buyers thinking about our house, constantly pointing out its great features; weeks would pass and the same buyers would still be interested, still coming back to look.On two different occasions he showed our house to buyers already working with other agents- he could have easily pushed them back to their agent, not troubled himself, and made them wait to see it- but he didn't. Stewart was always about us, selling our house, getting people who wanted to see it in immediately, and most importantly, doing whatever it took (i.e. work). As closing approached, it was again Super Stewart who made things happen that we couldn't; we were never told "I'll get there when I can" as we were. You could easily say he's a one man team. Oh, did I mention after all these days (on the market), he finalized our deal amidst TWO buyers, driving the price higher!!
